But on the other side it didn’t say nothing

I’ve heard back from all the writers about the edits, a few last decisions were made regarding some small changes, and all the content is set, formatted and combined into the main document. The cover image has been sized, formatted, converted to PDF and uploaded already. As always seems to be the case, the print edition is finished – except for a writer bio that I’m waiting on. Argh.

Well, I’m pretty sure I’ll have it tomorrow, and then will finalize the edition. In the meantime I’ll be working on the other editions – with any luck I’ll have them all wrapped up by Wednesday, and then it’s just the website updates left to prep nope, I prepped those last month! Go me! I’d say we’ll probably be mostly wrapped by the 17th, giving us about 2 extra weeks to work on the big Issue 12. Barring horrible disasters. Which are now inevitable.

Submissions continue to come in, at a slow but steady pace. We’re reading now in our spare time (ha ha) because we’re still anticipating a rush of submissions in the last week or so.

Today I also sent off a short interview to go in my alma mater’s email newsletter. That’s a bit weird, thinking that roughly 5000 alums – some of whom I probably knew while I was there – will read about what I’ve been up to.

Oh, and we received some copies of the past couple of issues of the magazine in the mail today. I owe a couple people copies, so those will go out tomorrow; and I have to send some copies to our college too, which will be auctioned at a fundraiser.
