Close call

I was going to order the proof copy of issue 6 this morning. But I went back to have one last look – and I’m glad I did. One of the images that was set amidst the text had somehow been duplicated on the page; all the formatting was screwed up. Ack! So I fixed it tonight and resubmitted it. It means delaying another day, but better that than getting a screwy proof and being set back more than a week.

I also got an email query asking about our criteria for swearing in submissions. We both found it pretty amusing – we swear whenever we want in RL. But it’s a perfectly valid question. For the record: CG is intended for a mature audience, so a moderate amount of swearing in submitted stories is fine, so long as it’s appropriate for the character(s) and the situation. But if the character is swearing just for the sake of it, it’s probably not necessary.

One last note: Our finances are always tight, but moreso now than ever. If you would, please help us out by spreading the word about our upcoming Earth Day sale! Post it in your blog, or tell a friend. Help us stay above water, and get some great stories and art into more hands at the same time! Thanks!
