It may sound absurd, but don’t be naive

Kay, being the awesome person that she is, nailed down an article for Issue 12 today that we’re very excited about. 12 is shaping up to be amazing, and we’re still waiting to hear back from a few people.

As for Issue 10… I haven’t worked on it much. I’ve been feeling ill the last couple of days, from some Con(vention) Crud. I’m mostly recovered now, but I’ve found it hard to focus on anything. Now that my head’s cleared up a bit I’m going to throw myself at all the editing I have to do.

One thing that I did do is arrange our first-ever book review for Issue 10. We normally aren’t interested in book reviews, but in this case it’s remarkably appropriate, and considering who’s writing it, we couldn’t say no. Looking forward to it very much!

I’ve also been taking care of a few small but essential things: mailing payment to someone who finally gave me their address, prepping some of the online setup for the print and kindle editions ahead of time, etc. Kay’s been working on interviews for issues 11 and 12, and drawing a lot. And going out to dinner with Hugo winners, leaving me at home sick. Good times.
