Long productive day equals short post

Things accomplished today:

1) Finalized the corrected Print edition and ordered the proof copy. It should still have time to reach us so we can check for any problems before the release date.

2) Made the PDF version. This involved reformatting the entire thing in 8.5″ x 11″. Fortunately since I do the Print edition first, it really just involves resizing rather than creating from whole cloth. This issue is more image-heavy than most so it took a bit longer, but not bad. I still have to merge the cover PDF with the content PDF, which I’ll do on Monday.

3) Made the Kindle version. Similar to the PDF, although with Kindle formatting you kind of have to strip away a lot and leave mostly bare-bones. After I finished it I created the Project online and uploaded the files; it’s ready to go.

That’s a hell of a lot of progress for one day. I also found time to take a walk with my son, work on WordPress some more, send a few emails, and let people know about my piece that was reprinted in Fantasy magazine today! [/plug]
