Productive work is… productive?

Much accomplished today. Biggest was that we got the 2nd proof of the Issue 7 Print edition in the mail. It’s still kind of red, but some of that is just the way the art was actually drawn; it doesn’t show up as red on our computer monitors but it’s nothing that wasn’t put there. Plus the image itself is better centered and much sharper than the first proof. It’s a big improvement and we’re pleased with it, so the print edition is approved!

I got the new links up in the “Website Spotlight” and “Headlines” sections on the front page. There’s some really fascinating articles and sites there, check them out!

Submissions continue to come in for all our various formats. Today saw at least one fiction submission in every size (flash fiction, short story, novella and novel), which is kind of neat. A couple of sizes had several submissions.

And since I’m talking about submissions, I want to reiterate something I’ve said before: when you send a submission, be sure to include your name and the title of the story! Seriously, this is a pretty damned important thing to remember, and yet we get a surprising number of people forgetting one, the other, or both. We do actually need that information.

The other thing we did today was some serious reading of submissions to issue 8. Found a few solid stories, have a good many left to read.

Reminders:
– 3 days left to submit to Issue 8 (Anthropomorphism)!
– 17 days left to submit to the Flash Fiction contest!
– We’re still accepting submissions for serial novels, novellas and webcomics!
– on this Sunday, May 31, give the gift of Imagination!
