Seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it
Jul 29th, 2009 | By Bart Leib | Category: CG BlogWe are caught up on reading again. It wasn’t easy, as the past two days have brought a slew of submissions. We’re past our highest previous submissions total by about 12% already! And the end of the month usually brings a small flood of last-minute submissions. We love it, keep them coming!
Kay, by the way, is awesome. She’s now made arrangements with an absolutely incredible artist for our over-sized Issue 12. The final few issues of our first year are going to have brilliant cover art.
Speaking of Issue 12 (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender), we’ve been working on it for some time already – we want it to be a truly special issue. Please help us spread the word about this one! Submissions for Issue 12 will be accepted in September.
More prepping for WorldCon happened today. I think we’re starting to panic a little now that it’s only a week until we leave. I mean, we’re on-track for being ready, but we can still panic. There’s just a lot to keep track of. Deciding what to bring is interesting… we have the trunk of our car, which gives us a lot more flexibility, but at the same time we don’t want to overdo it. Mainly we’ll be bringing laptops, clothes and books. Because really, what else could we possibly need?
