Crossed Genres Publications is extremely thrilled to announce that we’ve agreed to publish the debut novel of Sabrina Vourvoulias! INK is a dark near-future extrapolation of the current climate in the United States surrounding immigration. This stunning novel explores the personal impact of the escalation from rhetoric to execution.

Sabrina Vourvoulias is a Latina newspaper editor, blogger and writer. She grew up in Guatemala, moved to the United States when she was 15, and studied writing at Sarah Lawrence College with Allan Gurganus.

In addition to numerous articles and editorial columns in newspapers in Pennsylvania and New York state, her work has been published in Dappled Things, Graham House Review, La Bloga’s Floricanto, Poets Responding to SB 1070, Scheherezade’s Bequest at Cabinet des Fees, We’Moon, Crossed Genres #24, the anthology Crossed Genres Year Two, and is slated to appear in upcoming issues of Bull Spec and GUD magazine, as well as Crossed Genres’ Fat Girl in a Strange Land anthology.

Her blog Following the Lede is nominated for a Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) award for “Best Inspirational Latin@ Blogger”.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and daughter. Follow her antics on Twitter @followthelede.
